ECAG CHRISTMAS ON THE COOSA SHOW
DECEMBER 12, 2009
RULES FOR ENTRY
- Only original artwork will be accepted and must not be
over two years old. No copies of other artwork will be accepted. Artwork
will include oil, watercolor, drawings, (pastels, pencil, pen, and ink),
acrylic, gouache, inks, dyes, collage, mixed media, photography, and
sculpture.
2. Two entries per member: $6.00 for each entry.
Membership is required to enter the art show.
Guild
membership dues are $25.00 and must be paid for 2009 at time of entry.
3. All 2-D works must be dry, framed, and have
wire (no saw tooth or other type hangers will be
accepted) for
hanging. Gallery-wrapped canvases with wire for hanging will be accepted.
Sculpture
should be dry, fully assembled and ready to display. Due to the growth of our
Guild and
the number of
screens available, we will limit the size of the entries. 2-D entries cannot
exceed 48”
in any
direction, including frame. 3-D works cannot exceed 48” in height, width, or
depth and
must be fully
assembled. Sculpture will be displayed on a table in the exhibit area; however,
the
artist is
responsible for any special display stands or covers that might be required for
their artwork.
4. There is only one category: Glimpses of
Elmore County. Any artwork/photography that depicts people or
places or
things in Elmore County.
5. Work will be taken in at
the Wetumpka Depot Players Theater, 300 South Main Street, Wetumpka,
on Thursday, December 10, 2009, between 11:00
a.m. and 1:00 pm. All entries are to be picked up
on Sunday, December 13, 2009, between 12:30 pm
and 1:00 pm.
- The Guild will collect 10% commission on sale of
artwork and that commission will be added to the Guild’s treasury.
- Reasonable care will be used at all times in handling
entries, but they will not be insured against damage or theft. All entries not
picked up on December 13, 2009, will be taken to Jasmine Hill Art Gallery and
the owners of the entries will be charged a $10.00 holding fee. This fee is to
be paid at the time of pick up. All late fee collections will be added to the
Guild’s treasury.
- Winners will be notified and will be expected to be at
the special presentation of awards on Saturday, December 12th .
The time will be announced.
