The Lord Jesus has greatly blessed me for the past 43 years of my painting
history.
I became interested in painting in 1966 after graduation from Elmore County High School in Eclectic, Alabama. I lived for many years in Montgomery and had lessons from the city's best: Barbara Gallagher, Eve Perry, Clark Walker, and Nell Cunningham. I was active in both SAC's Gallery and the Montgomery Art Guild before moving back to Elmore County where I was raised, near Tallassee. In 1993 I became active in the Elmore County Art Guild.
I have received awards for my paintings as follows:
Three
Honorable Mentions from SAC's Gallery in Montgomery in 1990, 1994 and 1996.
Two First Place Awards from Elmore County Art Guild
Winter Shows in 1994 and 1996.
One Second Place Award from Elmore County Art Guild
Winter Show in 1998
